Here is a voice that has earned the acclaim of professionals in the music industry and thousands of theatergoers. Yet, when he sings about Christ, his dynamic singing style is mingled with profound sincerity and spiritual maturity.

Larry's ministry and professional experiences have been remarkably varied. After earning his undergraduate degree in music education at Oral Roberts University he began to serve for what eventually became 14 years as a full-time church minister of music in five states. While doing so he steadily developed a substantial solo concert career and performed a variety of musical theater and opera roles. Once he completed in his masters degree in vocal pedagogue and performance at Texas Christian University he concentrated on pursuing a professional career.

1995, Larry began a seventeen-year tenure with The Phantom of the Opera. Initially, he spent two years in the Basel, Switzerland production. In 1997 he joined the American First National Touring Company and a year later the producers invited him to join the Broadway production. He stayed with the New York show until 2006 when Phantom officially became the longest running show in Broadway history. Later that year he joined the new, revised eighty million dollar Las Vegas production, the most opulent musical theater production ever mounted. In September of 2012 the show completed its six and a half year run.
While associated with The Phantom of the Opera other aspects of his performing career continued to expand. He has sung with the Dallas Opera, the Los Angeles Civic Light Opera, Fort Worth Youth Symphony, the Tulsa Signature Orchestra and the Las Vegas Philharmonic. His concert activity has led him to sing for such notables as the Vice President of the United States, the former Empress Farah Diba of Iran, the Consul General of the People's Republic of China, the Commander of the Sixth Fleet, and the Kennedy family on the occasion of the Annual Profiles In Courage Award Ceremony held at the Kennedy Library in Boston. He has been the featured vocalist for the 2009 and 2013 California State Society Presidential Inaugural Luncheons in Washington , D.C. He has sung for Evangel, Oral Roberts, Asbury, Anderson , and Texas Christian Universities , and Valley Forge Christian College as well as Air Forces bases, large corporate conventions and major professional sports teams across the country.
All the while he has continued ministering with major Christian organizations. Recently, he appeared as a guest artist at the Praise Gathering Annual event in Indianapolis and has been a featured singer in the Bill & Gloria Gaither Homecoming video series. The Gaither Homecoming Bible, released in 2012 and published by Thomas Nelson features commentary by Mr. Morbitt. The last several years have seen the release of two CD projects entitled, "Heaven and Hope" and the self titled, Larry Wayne Morbitt. Both can be accessed on his website: larrywayne.com along with additional biographical information and his performance calendar.

Larry is currently involved in ministry all across the country reaching both young and old alike. Whether it is in a college, university, church or various Christian organizations, he is encouraging his audiences to use their God given gifts and talents to become salt and light by "going into every person's world" to share the Good News. Larry is also sharing more intimate details and miracles that have occurred throughout his own life and experiences that will resonate with many others who have had a painful past.
